Vuvuzelas on YouTube

If you thought the 2010 World Cup was a deafening experience because of the Vuvuzelas horns, wait until the 100′s of thousands of videos that are uploaded onto Youtube daily start to include the Vuvuzela option. If you haven’t noticed,  YouTube is now offering aVuvuzela option that viewers can click while watching a video–and they hearing a Vuvuzela noise. Check it out below:

Ignite Boulder 11 [...]

It’s been an awesome week in Boulder, Colorado. I plan to post my thoughts on Boulder Ignite 11 this weekend (July 4th weekend). Until then, enjoy this awesome mixtape by Hipster Collective titled “Sunday Morning”: Good Office Music (click here)

Hundreds of Hipsters Gather in Anticipation for Apple’s iPhone 4

Boulder, Colorado has quickly become one of America’s tech hubs. Accordingly, it was no surprise to see hundreds of hipsters camping outside the Apple Store in Boulder’s 29th St. Mall–all waiting in anticipation for Apple’s new iPhone 4G. Apple was prepared for this type of madness and put up what I call “The Black Curtains of Hiding-Awesomeness.” Boulder’s Apple store opens at 7am tomorrow, but will the iPhone 4G be a hit? Time will tell, but the anticipation is promising.

Fasting for Fair Trade

I posted this up on my Facebook, and I thought I’d share it with everyone who follows Social Media Munchies. I believe that in order to promote a cause like the i4c Campaign, you have to believe in it completely. I’m taking the dive:

“Starting at 1:30PM (MST) today, I began fasting for 24 hours! This is on behalf of the i4c Campaign–and the people in our world who are exploited because of the lack of fair trade. If the i4c Campaign reaches 1,500 Likes by tomorrow 1:30PM (MST), I’ll fast for 48hours!!! Make me suffer. Tell your friends. And help better our world.”

I have mixed feelings about this. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m 6’8 and eat a lot of food. Good for the world, bad for me.

To “make me suffer,” visit the [i4c] Campaign’s Facebook page, and suggest it to as many of your friends as possible.

How YouTube Copyright Works

I found this TED Talks video with Margaret Stewart, Director of YouTube‘s User Experience, to be very interesting. It gives some great info on how YouTube deals with copyright issues, and will help you stay…not sued (after all, everyone enjoys keeping their money).
